Italian lessons in London

Happy Languages is a language school who offers Italian lessons in London since 2013. Based in the City, Happy Languages is the perfect solution for all those who want to learn Italian: close to a number of transport links and conveniently located in an area which is plenty of bars and restaurant, its venue is ideal to take classes after work or just before a night out!
A bit of history
When everything started, the school was based in Holborn: a fantastic time when the school bloomed and there was the ambition to do a lot more! In 2014 Happy Languages became DITALS centre, delivering preparation and hosting exams for those who wanted to get the DITALS certification (an internationally recognised certification to teach Italian as a foreign language released by the University for Foreigners of Siena). In the same year, it became CILS centre, which means that it started preparing students towards the Italian language certification released by the same university and hosting certification exams at all levels.
By 2016 the school had grown enough to make a big step and it moved to an amazing office in the Aldgate Tower, were it held all courses and exams and where fantastic events took place. Getting bigger and bigger, in 2019 another important change: all the courses were moved to David Game College, in a lovely building nearby the Aldgate Tower, where the school found an ideal environment for its numerous group courses.
Group courses
Happy Languages offers general Italian group courses at any levels, both face-to-face and online. Each course normally lasts 10 weeks and is thoroughly planned in order to make students progress at their best.
Before joining a group course, participants are assessed by a tutor to make sure that the level is the right one and to give advice about the learning plan, based on the student’s goals. On top of that, teachers are constantly on the students’side to help them improve and suggest them the best path to take.
One-to-one tuition
Individual lessons at Happy Languages are tailored on the students’ needs and scheduled depending on their availability, so they are definitely the most flexible option to learn Italian. Either face-to-face or online, individual lessions can speed your learning up and give you the right motivation through a focused preparation.
Tutors
At Happy Languages native tutors are professionals who specialised in teaching Italian as a foreign language and have broad experiece with students from all over the world. On top of their qualifications, they have specific areas of expertise as they come from different backgrounds: this means that they will be able to assist students with different requests and needs.
Teaching methodology
Learning Italian while having fun, with the purpose of making communication possible and easy: through the communicative method, students put into practice what they learn straight away with nice and engaging activities that help them simulate specific situations.
Certification of Italian as a foreign language
Happy Languages is CILS centre: CILS is the international Italian language certification released by the University for Foreigners of Siena.
Being a recognised exam centre means that tutors are able to prepare students toward their certification and they are also certified examiners.
Teacher training programme
The school offers a Teacher Training Programme for new teachers and all those who have just started teaching Italian to foreigners. The programme includes theory and practice sessions with the aim of giving the basic tools to manage a group, plan lessons, select the best materials and more.
Events
Since the beginning, Happy Languages organises lovely social events to gather students and teachers together and spend some time speaking Italian and having fun! They offer many different events, such as film forums, coffee meet-ups and Italian cocktails workshops. In 2020 they started organising a huge number of free online events in streaming, for example interactive Italian lessons, interviews with famous Italian authors and with Italiam teachers all over the world.
